About Fresharda

Karl Drummond, better known by his stage name Fresharda, is a British dancehall artist, songwriter, and record producer of Jamaican and Barbadian heritage. Growing up, he was deeply influenced by the vocal styles of Gregory Isaacs, Yellowman, Buju Banton, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, and Baby Cham, which inspired him to pursue a career in music.

Fresharda’s sound is a unique fusion of dancehall, reggae, and electronic music, often incorporating eclectic samples and more exotic styles. His rapid-fire delivery, combined with bass- and rhythm-driven production, draws inspiration from legendary producers such as Dave Kelly and Dr. Dre. With a range of projects in the works, Fresharda is set for a breakthrough year.

In response to the UK Riots of August 2011, Fresharda released the song 20-1-1, calling for peace, unity, and encouraging young people to use education to improve their lives. The track attracted national media attention, including coverage in The Guardian, and will feature on his upcoming Reggae EP, Cycle.
